What's the magic in a helmet?
A helpful comment from a U.K. reader of this blog, himself a cyclist—and a musician—prompted me to further clarify what the helmet in HER Helmet Thursdays is all about! Curious? Click here for the helmet chat.
Or, here’s the short version: wearing a helmet is entirely up to you (unless you’re under 18 and are concerned about the risk of a California ticket). To get the HER Helmet Thursdays discount, you only have to walk in with helmet in hand, as evidence you’re cycling. And that’s only necessary for the “E” and “R” places. “H” places have different guidelines, with no helmet involved.
