For Cyclists

How to participate

  1. Support participating HER businesses and organizations any day of the week, and bicycle there as often as possible, especially Thursdays.
  2. Share the news with friends, associates, travel agents, cycling organizations, civic groups, and others.
  3. Invite your favorite businesses and organizations to participate.  (With just one individual extending personal invitations, there are already 135 participants as of July 2010.  Think of how many there will be when others invite their own favorites!)
  • How to invite new participants?  While business and organization leaders do not need to read about the project, it will be helpful if you who invite them will first read the key posts or phone me (831/375-6278) to ensure an accurate understanding of HER Helmet Thursdays.
  • Also, check out the info in “How to participate–for businesses and organizations.”
  • Option #1:  Businesses and organizations may sign up online.
  • Option #2:  They may sign up by phoning me, 831/375-6278.
  • Option #3:  You may print out the sign up online form and use it to write down their sign-up info, then provide it to me on their behalf.   I will confirm their wish to participate and all their info by phone before announcing their participation.
  • Know that even if one of your favorite  businesses or organizations  doesn’t choose to participate at this time, most will appreciate your caring to share an idea that can help them, especially during tough economic times.  Keep supporting them, regardless of their participation status.   And because this is a long-term ecology-economy partnership project, with no scheduled end-date, they are welcome to reconsider in the future.
