Many retail store windows, hotel concierge binders, employee and community bulletin boards, and other places throughout Monterey County already share these resources.  Join them!  Download these items and make them available at your location, too.

Can the HER Helmet Thursdays logo be used in other media? You bet! The Naval Postgraduate School Cycling Club found the above-pictured way to get the word out:  HER Helmet Thursdays highlighted at Mazda Raceway, Laguna Seca, at the May 2011 Twilight Ride.

The NPS Cycling Club also highlights HER Helmet Thursdays on their website, and on their events calendar.

Lists every H-E-R Charter Participant, along with a concise description of the project.

Announces Tips for Bicycling Monterey County guide, with no mention of HHT. Especially useful to non-HHT participants.

This was especially created for those H-E-R locations—Hotels, Entertainment/education venues, and Restaurants—who are not yet in the HER Helmet Thursdays project, and nevertheless, are also enthused about sharing Tips for Bicycling Monterey County with visitors and others.  (You may wish to ask if they’ve heard of HER Helmet Thursdays, and let them know that they are welcome to become a participant.)

Mini poster/handout 3b – Download PDF:

Abbreviated announcement of Tips for Bicycling guide only (no mention of HER Helmet Thursdays).   These 4.25 x 5.5 announcements are formatted to print four-to-a-page on 8.5 x 11 paper (or card stock). They are particularly helpful for concierges, front desk staff, parking attendants, and others at a non-HHT establishment that nonetheless loves to share cycling info with their guests.

The Fishwife in Seaside

The Fishwife’s Turtle Bay in Monterey has a framed newspaper story about HER Helmet Thursdays on the wall inside the entrance, and they also display a laminated poster in their front window,  and in the restrooms too.  Think they are proud to be a Charter Participant?  You bet!

Fishwife at Asilomar, Fishwife in Seaside, and Turtle Bay in Seaside all display their HER Helmet Thursdays posters–and are all Charter Participants.

This 8-1/2 x 11 poster may be laminated or framed and displayed.   Some participants print it on clear or white decal paper–voila! a window decal.

Many lodging providers also add it to their concierge binder, alongside the Tips for Tourists Bicycling Monterey County poster.

Displaying the posters prominently…

helps build a reputation for Monterey County as one of the most bike friendly places in the country!  Please help in this regard.  The posters may be framed or otherwise displayed.  Some people like to laminate them.

Make a window washer love you

Wonder where to get that wonderful removable and reusable tape for hanging posters in windows?  It can be hard to find.  One Monterey County store that stocks it is Alpha Stationers, 221 Forest Ave, Pacific Grove; 831/372-4388 (no website).
