Below, learn about Monterey County Bike Week 2012.

The Transportation Agency for Monterey County will hold its 18th Annual Bike Week from May 7-13, 2012. Bike Week is a community celebration where thousands of commuters, school children, and others are inspired to increase their pedal pushing by riding their bikes to school, to work, and on errands all around the county.

Events are scheduled throughout the county including community bicycle rides, bike to city council events, a company bike challenge, a bike versus car challenge; and to Bike to School and Bike to Work Day events, which offer free breakfast.

The public is encouraged to participate in the following activities, which are all part of the annual Bike Week celebration.  More details for the Monterey Bay Tri-County region can be found online via the www.bike2work.com portal, or for Monterey County, go directly to http://tamcmonterey.org/bikeweek/index.html.
